PhD Students

Emil Laust Kristoffersen, M.S.

PhD student, iNANO and Department of Molecular Biologt and Genetics, 2012 -

M.S. Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, 2012

B.S. Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, 2010

Research Interests: Invention of biological assays for measuring enzyme activity down to single cell or single enzyme levels using state of the art methods, such as microfluidics and Rolling Circle Amplification (RCA). These assays might have a striking impact on cancer prediction, towards a more individualized treatment, and influence the way we think about enzyme kinetics.

Oskar Franch, B.S.

PhD student, iNANO and Department of Molecular Biologt and Genetics, 2014 -

B.S. Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, 2013

Research Interests: Investigation on the physical and biochemical properties of three-dimensional DNA nanocages, as well as the assembly kinetics of nanocages in microscaled incubators. Subsequently, I preform investigations of entrapment of a variety of payloads, such as single chain antibodies, for therapeutic purposes. Further research interests include design and optimization of the DNA nanosensors against enzymatic activities in an array of microorganisms, namely malaria parasites, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and HIV virus particles.
